Delta Exchange Secures Global Sponsorship for India-Afghanistan T20I Series

Delta Exchange has become the global sponsor of the India-Afghanistan T20I series in New Delhi. The deal gives the crypto derivatives platform on-ground, broadcast, and fan-engagement visibility across the three-match series hosted by the Afghanistan Cricket Board.

Delta Exchange has joined the India-Afghanistan T20I series as a global sponsor, bringing the crypto derivatives platform into on-ground cricket advertising in India. The three-match series is taking place at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in New Delhi on September 13, 15 and 17.

The deal gives Delta Exchange visibility across stadium advertising, television coverage and fan engagement activities. According to the company, it is the first crypto brand to sponsor on-ground cricket advertising inventory in India.

Delta Exchange Gets On-Ground and Broadcast Visibility

Delta Exchange is using the India-Afghanistan T20I series to reach a wider audience beyond crypto traders. Its branding appears across different advertising areas connected with the matches. The partnership also includes broadcast exposure and activities aimed at cricket fans during the series.

The company said cricket offers access to a large consumer audience in India. Neeraj Thakur, Head of Marketing at Delta Exchange, said, “India’s strong passion towards Cricket has inspired us to sponsor the India–Afghanistan T20I Series in India.” He added that the company wants to build awareness as it expands its range of trading products.

Delta Exchange provides crypto futures and options trading services. Through the cricket partnership, the company is promoting the Delta Exchange brand rather than sponsoring the Indian national team directly.

The sponsorship comes at a time when crypto companies face restrictions on some cricket sponsorship opportunities in India. However, the commercial structure of the India-Afghanistan series differs from a regular India home series controlled by the Board of Control for Cricket in India.

Afghanistan Cricket Board Controls Series Commercial Rights

Although all three matches are taking place in New Delhi, Afghanistan is the official host of the series. The Afghanistan Cricket Board controls the commercial and media rights linked to the matches.

That arrangement allows the ACB to sign commercial partners for the series. Delta Exchange joined as a global sponsor, while e& serves as the title sponsor. Other companies also hold commercial roles connected with the three T20I matches.

The structure also separates the Delta Exchange agreement from sponsorship rights for the Indian cricket team. The BCCI’s rules for its national team sponsorship deals restrict companies engaged in crypto trading, crypto exchanges, and related businesses from bidding for those rights.

However, the India-Afghanistan series falls under the ACB’s commercial control because Afghanistan is the designated home team. As a result, the ACB handles sponsorship and media agreements even though the matches take place on Indian soil.

India Secures T20I Series Ahead of Final Match

India entered the third T20I with an unassailable 2-0 lead in the three-match series. The team defeated Afghanistan by seven wickets in the second match on September 15 after also winning the opening game.

The third and final T20I is scheduled for September 17 at the Arun Jaitley Stadium. Delta Exchange will continue to receive on-ground and broadcast exposure during the final match under its global sponsorship agreement.

For Delta Exchange, the deal extends its cricket-focused marketing activity while placing its brand before viewers across television, digital platforms and the stadium. The company said its goal is to increase awareness of its platform and trading products among a broader group of consumers.

The India-Afghanistan T20I sponsorship also gives a crypto trading brand access to cricket advertising inventory without forming a sponsorship agreement with the Indian national team. The arrangement operates through the Afghanistan Cricket Board’s rights as the official host of the series.
