Samsung is partnering with Solana to introduce stablecoin-powered international money transfers through Samsung Wallet and Samsung Pay. The integration will enable eligible US Galaxy users to send Circle’s USDC stablecoin internationally, potentially expanding blockchain payments beyond cryptocurrency exchanges.

    Samsung Wallet Targets 60 Countries

According to the Solana Foundation’s announcement, the service will launch during the final week of October 2026, initially reaching approximately 82 million Galaxy devices across the United States.

Users will be able to transfer funds across 60 countries through Samsung’s existing wallet interface. The system will incorporate fiat conversion services, allowing recipients to access local currencies without independently managing cryptocurrency wallets.

Solana will handle blockchain settlement behind the scenes, simplifying international payments.

Woncheol Chai, Samsung Electronics’ executive vice president, said, “Stablecoins have the potential to make moving money around the world faster and easier.” He added that Solana would help deliver the experience at Samsung’s scale.

    Solana Stablecoin Activity Expands

The Solana ecosystem of stablecoins has shown sharp progress in 2026. As per the announcement, the supply of stablecoins rose from around USD 14.13 billion on January 1 to nearly USD 16.61 billion, which translates to around 18% growth.

The blockchain has processed over USD 5.25 trillion of stablecoin transaction volume during the year.

Companies like PayPal and Western Union have worked on projects involving stablecoins utilizing the Solana network.

The inclusion of Samsung could improve that accessibility for consumers, though availability of devices does not refer to adoption.

    SOL Price Faces Near-Term Pressure

Despite the partnership, SOL traded near USD 116 on Thursday after declining approximately 3% the previous session. Technical indicators showed mixed momentum. The 50-day exponential moving average (EMA) is at USD 107.47, the 100-day moving average (EMA) at USD 98.49, and the 200-day average at USD 96.78.

The relative strength index shows a reading of 54, while the MACD histogram was negative. Resistance is seen at USD 122.94, with USD 148.74 acting as a higher barrier.

    What Comes Next?

The rollout remains dependent on local laws and operational execution, and its commercial relevance will depend on the number of users, transfer volumes, conversion costs, and the ability to use it in seamless payment corridors.
