Bitcoin Insurance Assets Expand Fivefold

Meanwhile Targets Wealthy Bitcoin Investors
Company’s ‘BTC Life 1-Pay’ product focuses on high-net-worth individuals outside the US. The payment is made in Bitcoins with a premium, and death benefits are paid in Bitcoins. It offers a margin call-free loan for as much as 90% of the policy value, available after 1 year.
The company has formed alliances with 15 insurance brokers that cater to clients in Singapore, Hong Kong, Switzerland and the United Arab Emirates. In 2024, Meanwhile was licensed as an insurance company by the Monetary Authority of Bermuda.
Final Thoughts
Meanwhile’s recent funding comes as an example of the increasing awareness of insurance and inheritance planning that is linked to the Bitcoin blockchain. However, there are risks of valuation with a cryptocurrency that are not the same as with traditional insurance products due to its volatility.
This will rely on meeting regulatory compliance, financial stability, and customer adoption.
